Colorado resident suffers life-threatening injuries in I-70 crash near Frisco, another resident seriously injured

Two Colorado residents suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash around noon Friday, Nov. 17, on Interstate 70 near Officers Gulch west of Frisco, according to Colorado State Patrol Master Trooper Gary Cutler.
As of 5 p.m. Friday, Cutler said one of the patient’s injuries were potentially life threatening. The two Colorado residents, a 35-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, who was her passenger, were both ejected from the vehicle in the crash, he said.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes of traffic from around the time of the crash until just before 3 p.m. A westbound lane of traffic near the scene of the crash was also temporarily closed, according to Colorado State Patrol.
Flight for Life responded, Cutler said. Summit Fire & EMS said on Facebook that emergency personnel responded to a “bad single-car rollover crash” and that the two occupants of the vehicle were taken to St. Anthony Summit Hospital.
Colorado State Patrol conducted an investigation at the scene, Cutler said. He said more information on the crash will be available as the investigation continues.
